Picture Gallery

Firefly includes a built-in system for the uploading of pictures to a website. This facility enables you to build up a picture gallery from which you can select pictures to illustrate stories or place anywhere on the site.
When you upload a picture via Firefly, several copies of this picture, in various sizes, are automatically created. This means that while you only need to upload one picture, it is available in several sizes on the site.
The Tasman District Council site has an extensive picture gallery - with several thousand pictures.

Case Study
Murray Lloyd is an influential Wellington photographer with an international reputation. Murray wanted a site where he could upload a series of pictures for each wedding he photographed. Murray works from home, using a digital film scanner and uploads the images to his site via his administrator page.
Zevi Interactive has also created a section for him to add exhibitions of his work - with dozens of pictures in each exhibition. All this content - including the order of the photographs and captions - can be managed via Firefly.
Zevi Interactive is currently working on a new project with Murray which will incorporate multimedia displays of his work, including sound, on his site.
